Description: Effective communication between the sponsor and the contract organization is critical to delivering quality science on time and on budget. In this invitation-only session, AAPS hosts a candid conversation between leaders from both sides of the table to discuss the headache-generating issues that accompany outsourcing critical work to expert specialists today. Facilitators who have experienced these challenges first-hand will lead the conversation based on the issues anonymously identified to AAPS by leaders in the field. In Part I of the program, facilitators will focus on describing the issues from both parties’ perspectives, while in Part 2, participants will discuss realistic strategies for making these relationships work.

Learning Objectives:
1) Timely communication of critical changes in projects – when to speak up
2) Understanding the operational processes of your partner – what I wish you knew about me
3) Mapping the project scope and details – what you don’t know will slow your partner down considerably

This two-part event begins with a 4 pm session followed by a 5 pm reception on Monday, Nov. 13. Part 2 begins with a 7:30 am breakfast followed by discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
